Copyrights, AI and Legal Stuff

Thank you for reading my blog, and more than that….for caring about yoga. The old school kind. Thank you for caring for yourself enough to investigate the healing and powerful potential of these beautiful wise and well honed practices.

But here we are in the complicated landscape of 2026…and some clear communication is in order about images and lineages and best practices.

All of the images presented in this blog since October 3, 2020 every image in the blog posts, unless otherwise noted (i.e. Dr. Vasant’s infamous Sankhya Chart or some public domain images of enlightened beings) were in some way created by me, usually in Canva with a some tweaks in the Adobe Creative Suite, or Paint or whatever tool I found handy.

Starting in 2026 I introduced AI into my work, in both writing and image creation. I do this through a combination of prompting for small pieces or elements or unique backgrounds and combining them. Sometime layering in pieces from public domain, sometimes creating my own pieces, sometimes leaning into the Canva licenses or other paid services for that perfect tweaking thing.

Since I created them personally, they are covered by copyright law and I ask that you do not copy them for commercial or public use of any kind without speaking with me. Gradually I am making them available on paid platforms. I’ll list those links here as time goes in.

If you are strapped for cash and just have to have the image hanging on your wall in your interview room in the documentary you are filming about Krishnamacharya – well it’s likely I’ll just give you a free license. Just send me an email. It won’t be a big complicated thing.

Since January 2026 the Sanskrit quotes have been generated by AI. I always proofread them…but I’m not a Sanskrit pundit per se. As with all indigenous arts I encourage you to look towards the source.
